RECAP: Ocean Trivia at Flying Fish

We brought Winter Waters Ocean Trivia back to Flying Fish Co. for the 2025 series, and had a hoot!
Our resident Marine Biologist, Alanna Kieffer, led a couple rounds of trivia all about the ocean, and sustainable seafood. That’s fitting for Flying Fish because it’s a restaurant and fish market that specialized is sourcing sustainable seafood so that Portlanders can always have the best of the best.
Flying Fish Special Menu Offerings:
Dulse Hush Puppies - with Jojo's & house zip sauce
Crab Queso Dip - with crab, quero, pomodoraccio-dulse salsa, fried dulse.
Grilled Kanpachi Tacos - with pineapple-dulse salsa, cabbage, crema, cotija, chili-lime oil.
Oyster on the Half Shell - with dulse mignonette and lemon
Oyster & Seaweed Pale Mild Ale - Steeplejack Brewing collaboration with Brews for New Avenues. This unique beer ir a play on the traditional Oyster Stout. Brewed with dulre from Oregon Seaweed and 30oz of oyster from Humboldt Bay. It offers a mild, creamy body with a briny finish.
